Material Requirement Planning
Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is a scheduling tool used to set up molding
jobs. Once a purchase order is received, it is entered into MAMCO's computer
system, including all due dates, lead times, and shipping specifications. By
calendarizing different projects, the production manager can stay on top of
any major adjustments needed to be made on the manufacturing floor.
