Mold-A-Matic Corporation Unveils New Ultra-Low Presurre Switch Design That Helps Avert Normal Contact resistance, Set Point Instability and Leakage ProblemsONEONTA, NY—The Mold-A-Matic Corporation (MAMCO) is launching a line of ultra-low pressure, vacuum and differential switches with a unique design variation that enhances their performance in hostile low pressure environments, David Vergari, president, announced today. “Now companies that use switches in low pressure environments can reduce the productivity losses that result from contact erosion, loose terminals, switch instability and leakage, ” Mr. Vergari said. “These switches have an extremely long operating life and work in the harshest of work conditions. ”MAMCO’s 005 series of switches minimize the contact resistance, set point instability and leakage problems common to many ultra-low pressure, vacuum and differential switches through an innovative design architecture that combines special gold crossbar contacts with a new “all-in-one-weld” terminal construction, he said. For customer convenience, MAMCO will be providing two versions of the switches: a pre-configured “Dual Range” series and a “Factory-Configured” offering that can be tailored to specific customer needs before shipment, Mr. Vergari said. The company will also design and build custom switches for manufacturers with distinctive business applications, he added. The switches will be sold through direct sales and a new company web site, www.mamcoswitches.com, Mr. Vergari said, and will be designed and manufactured by the company’s new division, MAMCO Precision Switches.
