Management Review Team
Jeff Bordinger, Process Engineering Manager
Troubleshooting could practically be Jeff Bordinger’s middle name. MAMCO’s process engineering manager has
been doing just that for the past five years.
“There’s always something different you have to accomplish,” he says.
“There’s always a learning experience.”
Luckily, Bordinger enjoys a good challenge. He started with MAMCO in 1981 as a mold set-up technician,
where he worked for about three years. He subsequently took a job as a molding technician before becoming
a supervisor. His current role sees him troubleshooting molds from the time they are designed to the moment
they are completed and ready to ship.
“The automation is phenomenal. Any time you can take the human error out of the equation is a good
thing,” he says.
Being the company’s lead troubleshooter doesn’t come without its share of pressure, as Bordinger has come
to learn over the past few years. Add to that a new Web site and the recent rollout of an exhaustive
marketing and sales campaign, he foresees plenty of new quotes coming his way in the very near future.
“Sometimes you just have to walk outside, get a breath of fresh air, clean your head and get back
to it,” Bordinger admits. “I’m here to help the company do what we
have to do to serve the bottom line.”
